On Sunday, I was invited to attend a vegan brunch sponsored by VeganSmart. The brunch was located in the urban arts district of downtown LA at The Container Yard. The spot was beyond cool, with art murlas surrounding all the walls. Brunch took place in an open terrace within the art district. When I walked into the building, my eyes became glued to the vintage iconic photographs of celebrities hanging in the room. I LOVE this type of artwork and branding! The particular image of Sophia Loren and Jane Mansfield with a photoshopped bottle of VeganSmart on the table definitely caught my attention.
Before I go forward, I just want to make clear that I am NOT trying to convince anyone to convert to being vegan. I'm not even vegan, but I am always down to try or learn about anything that will benefit my body. (Besides, they were serving Bloody Mary's, and I am not one to turn a Bloody down). Living healthy is a top priority for me, so this was something that I was very interested in attending. I am always stoked to attend these sorts of events, because instead of just telling you to eat healthy, they show you how. They let you actually taste the food and inform you on what exactly you are eating, let you try samples and ask questions.
I always love knowing where my food comes from and having the knowledge of what ingredients goes into each meal. I came to learn that VeganSmart is an all-in-one nutritional soy-, dairy-, gluten- free, vegan protein shake. It contains a whole food complex of 9 different healthy colorful fruits and vegetables known to contain polyphenols, antioxidants and flavonoids to support overall wellness. In addition, it also contains 22 vitamins and minerals, a healthy dose of fiber and omega blends, probiotics and digestive enzymes. Sounds like something GREAT to put in your body right?! It also tastes quite good, which is super important for me. The protein shakes were my favorite out of all the vegan foods that I tasted.
Anyways...I may not be converting to being vegan 100%, but I am definitely going to be adding the vegan protein shake into my diet! Ill keep you guys posted on how they make me feel after a couple days!
