My grandmother came from Spain today to visit my sisters and I. We spent the morning walking through the Tuileries and Carrousel Gardens at the Louvre, and then making our way down along the tranquil Seine. The weather kept playing tricks on us; I wore a short sleeve dress with my furry teal jacket and found myself taking it off and then putting it on again almost every ten minutes. In the afternoon, we went to the Louis Vuitton Foundation, which featured works of contemporary artists such as Andy Warhol and Marina Abramovic. My favorite part about the Louis Vuitton Foundation, however, was the building itself. Designed by Frank Gehry, its majestic structure is akin to glass sails billowing in the wind. One of my favorite subjects to photograph, besides fashion, has to be architecture, and this building was pretty fascinating to take in, with its seemingly endless layers of glass and steel. We ended the day having dinner at this cute little restaurant called Chez Graff. I went to bed dreaming about that choclate mouse we had for dessert.
